Yes — raisins are safe for parrots (unlike for dogs) and make great foraging treats, but they're concentrated sugar, so keep portions small.
Keeper's noteA few raisins tucked into a foraging toy is enrichment and treat in one. Buy unsweetened, unoiled raisins — some snack brands add both.
What to watch out for with raisins
The grape toxicity that endangers dogs has not been observed in parrots, so raisins are safe for birds. The issue is that drying concentrates grape sugar into a dense little sweet — fine in small amounts, a problem if free-fed. Their chewy texture and size make them excellent foraging-toy stuffers.
How to serve it
A few at a time, ideally hidden in foraging toys.
Plain raisins only — no yogurt-coated or sweetened versions.
